There are some things that you can’t compromise on. Some things need to be done fully. We think that sustainability work is one of these things and we want to be at the forefront of this. That’s why in 2023 we’re placing even more stringent requirements on our transport in terms of the use of sustainable fuel.
What does this mean for you as a customer of Techno Skruv?
What is good for the environment is good for all of us. Environmental and sustainability issues are very important to us, and we have strict requirements both for ourselves and our suppliers. As you probably already know, we collaborate with many talented manufacturers in Asia and these items come to Sweden on container ships. 2023 started with our taking even greater environmental responsibility, whereby we’re committing to reducing our carbon footprint and purchasing bio-based sustainable fuel for all our boat shipments. Based on the previous year’s shipments (with fossil fuels), we will be able to reduce our climate impact by 100%, which is roughly 47 tons! The figures are calculated according to the EN-16258 standard.

By choosing a bio-based sustainable fuel, we’re reducing not only our own company’s climate footprint significantly, but, indirectly, also yours. In other words, this allows you as a customer to achieve a much greener and more sustainable logistics chain. Besides the obvious – reduced climate impact – neither the delivery time nor costs for you as a customer change!
Facts about Techno Skruv’s freight transport with sustainable fuel
We’ve made an active choice by using sustainable marine fuel, which in the long-term will encourage increased production of biofuels and create a more sustainable future. Recycled cooking oils/food scraps, together with residual forestry products, form the basis of the biofuel. Burning sustainable fuel releases CO2 that is already part of the natural cycle, which means that we achieve a 100 per cent reduction in carbon dioxide emissions compared with transport that relies solely on fossil fuels.

Quality is our guiding star
Techno Skruv has worked with quality issues since the company was founded and has been certified according to ISO 9001 since 1996.
We have been a supplier to customers with strict quality requirements, such as the automotive industry, for many years and we supply quality-assured products with associated documentation such as PPAP to customers in this industry.
Our main suppliers are all certified to ISO 9001 and those that manufacture products for the automotive industry are certified according to IATF 16949.
Our quality-assured products can be delivered directly to the assembly line without receiving prior inspections. To ensure the same quality of deliveries and products, we are happy to work with EDI and other delivery plans to enable “on-time deliveries”.
A trading company with environmental aspirations
Techno Skruv carries out long-term environmental work and, since 2002, has been certified according to ISO 14001.
We carry out this work in close collaboration with our customers and suppliers. On behalf of customers, we work systematically to find solutions that favour productivity, the working environment and the external environment.
Our owner, Indutrade, has signed the UN’s Global Compact sustainability initiative. Indutrade is thereby committed to actively working with the Global Compact’s ten principles for sustainable development within four areas: human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption.
